Well… back again. I finally got the photos from my sister for the Roots’ Farmers Market’s Christmas Craft Show. (whoa that is a lot to say) For it being my first craft show, I really did not know what to expect.
It was a chilly day that we endured outdoors, but I was hoping that worked to my benefit. People get cold, they need something to stay warm! Here is me setting up the table and organizing all the scarves.
We were able to use nails that were already placed in the side of the building as a way to hang and showcase some of the longer scarves.
Unfortunately the craft show did not have the christmas music playing over the loud speakers, as they had in the past. It made an impact on the attitudes of the guests that day. Quite a few people were very solemn and not so cheerful. Luckily with technology today, smart phones can play music quite loudly and so my cousin found a Christmas station on Pandora, and we noticed a drastic difference in the number of smiles we started seeing. YAY!
So even though the craft show wasn’t too busy, I am not going to say that it was not successful. I had a lot of people pick up my business card and the views on my Etsy site went up drastically that weekend. Which is awesome! It is a tough economy and I understand that some people need to sit and and mull over their decisions. I even almost ran out of my business cards! (which reminds me, I still need to order more. haha.)
I hope you all are having a great week, and make sure to take the time to enjoy this holiday season. Don’t rush through it too fast. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to show you some of my homemade Christmas decorations.
